I love this Lucia. Your voice always shines through and you were instrumental in helping me battle through some of my writing pain barriers. The lack of acknowledgement on posts is still a difficult one to get through but I know it’s a work in progress, and the (simple 🫠) joy of finishing and uploading a post is most definitely worth an internal high five so I’m taking the pleasure in that for now! I also commend your tenacity for Notes - and can see how you went viral with the question on writing - it’s brilliantly phrased! And of course a great question. I sadly can’t quite get on board with that part of the app because it feels very much like standing in a room full of strangers asking them to like me 🤗 - as someone who loathes small talk, it’s tricky!!
Anyway - huge congrats again and look forward to your next post x
Thank you for your kind words, Anna! It's such a treat to get your fascinating and insightful posts in my inbox—they always get me thinking. And absolutely, just getting it out there is a massive achievement in itself! I definitely felt the same about Notes at first, but a few months in, I thought to myself: well, what if instead of feeling intimidated by this room full of strangers, I felt liberated by it? Unlike a platform like LinkedIn, no one on here knows me and the chances of people even seeing my Notes are quite slim. Thinking about it like that freed me up to express myself a bit more playfully than I would in a long-form post :) having said that, I think what's nice about Substack is being able to pick and choose what works for you!
A good writer! I believe a good writer is one who has written and written and published a few times before they learnt the art of communicating in simple language. Then they learn to get editing help before publishing. Then they learn the art of marketing which can expose what they deem as perfect as opposed to reader opinions.
A good writer is a complete combo of writer, editor and marketer.
I am not famous. My books are read by family and friends who give me great praise. However, I have not seen great sales. Does that make me a not good enough writer.l?
I never studied writing but I enjoy putting life lessons into words that I can carve to perceptions that I am familiar with.
I think you're funny and a good writer. Glad you went viral so I could find you!
Thank you, Lindsey! I'm happy to have you here ☺️

I would love other opinions on this matter.
The 'TL;DR' told me what I needed to know but the piece itself SPOKE to me! So true. I needed this reminder today 🫡
