I really enjoyed this post, Lucia. Thank you for sharing your personal experience. I’ve been thinking a lot about these topics lately. Every experience leaves an imprint on our nervous system, and I think some events are so significant that they continue to individually and collectively shape us.

I love what you said about how the world can change overnight if we want it to. I’ve felt more disillusioned post-(acute) pandemic, seeing how some of those beautiful human qualities that we saw—community care and support—have faded within our social systems. I'll be reflecting on the prompts you shared when I journal next.

Also, I cringed when you were asked about productivity in an interview... the obsession with constant output is something I wish we’d left in pre-pandemic times. When you’re dealing with the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or your health (as so many folks living with long COVID are), it just seems so unimportant—as if productivity is our sole value and purpose on this planet.
